Gecko is everything anyone could ever want in a herdsire- an advanced fleece, excellent phenotype and genetics, and the ability to produce quality offspring in a variety of colors. This is not to mention his successful show career that saw him accumulate four first place ribbons and two reserve championship banners, all of which were earned as a juvenile.
Produced by the high end grey program of Alpacas of the Ark in Iowa, Gecko is sired by well known Accoyo America Marathon and his dam is TCB’s Cricket, a black female. Prior to his breeding career, there was the hope that Gecko would be able to produce colored offspring. He did not disappoint as he has produced animals from white to grey, including a multiple banner winning black male out of a fawn dam. He is the sire of the most recent addition to the Rakhel Farms’ herdsire lineup, RKF White Night as well as animals that can be found across the country as far west as California and as far east as New York.
